Satisfying finish for girls soccer team

A second-round showing and a 20-win season are satisfying results for head coach Scott Mair and the Culver City Centaurs Girls Soccer team (20-6 overall and 7-2-1 in league), which recently lost, 2-1, to the Oaks Christian Lions to conclude the season.

Culver City topped Summit, 7-2, in the first round.

Lili Valverde, who scored three goals and had three assists in a late-season win at Beverly Hills, was selected as team player of the week.

“She has been rock solid all year,” Mair said of the graduating senior.
