Knox Presbyterian welcomes new pastor

The Presbytery of the Pacific will hold a service of installation for Knox Presbyterian Church’s new pastor, Reginald Ragland, on  Feb. 10  at 4 p.m. at

5840 La Tijera Blvd.

A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. All are welcome to attend.

Reverend Ragland comes to Knox from South minister Presbyterian Church in Phoenix, AZ, where he served the past 10 years as the Commissioned Ruling Elder.

Rev. Ragland’s selection to lead the ministries of Knox ended a three- year search period. During that period, under the interim leadership of Pastor Elizabeth Steele, Knox’s members have begun a visioning and planning process to expand its ministry programs.

Central to Rev. Ragland’s view of the church is the idea that all generations must

work together to discover new ways to further God’s mission in the world and the local

community.

Rev. Ragland obtained his Master of Divinity and Theology degrees from Fuller

Seminary. Other studies include a Certificate in Leadership and Organizational

Management from Peter Drucker Management Institute, a Certificate in Management

from the Johnson and Johnson Management Institute/UCLA Anderson School, a BS

in Education from Norfolk State University, and an Associate Degree in Child

Development and Program Management from Central Arizona Community College.

Reverend Ragland is married to Clarissa Davis Ragland, an ordained Deacon. They have

two adult daughters.

The Knox congregation is excited about this new phase in the life of the church

and welcomes Reverend and Mrs. Reginald Ragland with love and great anticipation.
