Safety issues with bike islands

The proposed bike safety islands in the Duquesne and Braddock area restrict ability of cars to turn right. Turns must be made too wide and will cause drivers to back up and try the turn again or turn into oncoming traffic. The streets are too narrow to safely accommodate the current plan. This will put the City in jeopardy of a law suit for poorly engineering the roadway.

A simple bike lane, with less street parking, will be the safe answer to this concern. Oh, by the way, many streets need resurfacing. How about fixing the large pothole at Braddock and Vinton?
