Siuzanna Iglidan, a Ukrainian-American mezzo-soprano, was the guest performer at the June 13 Grace Church MidDay Concert in Culver City. Iglidan is also a virtuoso with the Bandura, as seen here, which is a Ukrainian plucked string-instrument. She graduated with a master’s degree from Odessa National Music Academy of Performing Arts. Iglidan also studied voice with Vladislav Dekhtyarenko from the Odessa National Theatre Opera and Ballet. Her chosen charity for this concert was the Global Musical Bridges. Each guest artist of the MidDay concert could select a charity to receive donations received at the performance. The second season of the monthly MidDay Concert begins in September.
