Marathoners representing Culver City and Kaizuka, Japan are toasted on March 24 during a Culver City Sister City Committee “meet-and-greet,” potluck meal at the Culver City home of Mike and Denise Cohen. From left are runners Ricardo Galiano and Erin Okawa, interpreter Kumiko Sasamori of Culver City, and Kaizuka sister city runners, Miwa Miyashita and Ikuya Fujiwara. Miyashita and Fujiwara were hosted by CCSCC members recently and took part in the March 24 L.A. Marathon. Galiano and Okawa were hosted by the Kaizuka Sister City group, as they competed in the February Senshu Marathon in Japan.
