Financial seminar at WLAC

“You and Your Money….Decisions for Today and the Future,” a free financial seminar, will be held at West Los Angeles College Nov. 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The seminar will be led by assistant professor of accounting Charles V. Daniel, formerly an auditor at the international accounting firm of KPMG.  He is also past president of the Los Angeles Professional Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants.

Daniel will share with both students and community members’ information to avoid financial pitfalls and identify doable strategies to recover from financial pitfalls, say college representatives.

The seminar is designed to benefit both those at the start of and well into their financial life.

Several topics to be covered, including leasing vs. buying, dodging financial predators, good credit for life, show me my money and net vs. gross pay, among others. –
