Toni Ferrara was named Elk of the Year for 2017-2018 at an honorary dinner held Friday night, March 23.

This honor was given for her unflagging willingness to do whatever needed to be done and always doing it with a smile, Elk officers said.

“The Culver City Elks bestows scholarships to high school seniors and Toni was there helping grade the essays and rank the entrants,” an Elk official said.

When the Elks held their Mother’s Day brunch, their Cinco de Mayo party, and their Halloween Party, Ferrara was there for the setup, serving and the break down as well.

“For all that you have done, Toni, the Culver City Elks thank you and you truly deserve the title of “Elk of the Year,” Elk officials said.

The Culver City Elks threw a Christmas party for under-served kids in the area and “she was amazing in the development and execution of an arts-and-crafts day that the kids thoroughly enjoyed.”

The Elks had information tables at three public functions; the Mar Vista Farmer’s Market, the Fiesta La Ballona, and the National Night Out help by the Culver City Police Department.  “Toni was there at each event with a smile and warm handshake for those seeking information.”
