Exchange Club Fireworks Show taking off on July 4

The Exchange Club of Culver City, with co-sponsor the city of Culver City, will host its 52nd annual Fireworks Extravaganza on July 4 at West Los Angeles College, 9000 Overland Ave., in Culver City.

Gates open at 4 p.m. Visit the Exchange Club of Culver City’s website for more information.  Be encouraged to carpool, walk, or take a Culver CityBus to the event.

Suggested donation to enter is $5 per person, with kids younger than age 5, free. Parking is $15.

Pedestrians enter at Overland Avenue, and cars enter at Jefferson Boulevard.

The Exchange Club is a Culver City service organization, and the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show has been one of its major fundraisers for over 50 years. All proceeds from the show are returned to the community in the form of grants and scholarships to local organizations and deserving students.

Some major recipients of funding include The Culver City Unified School District; The Culver City Youth Health Center; The Culver-Palms Family YMCA; and Booster Clubs at all Culver City Schools.

The Exchange Club of Culver City raises funds for these and many other worthy causes through the Fireworks Show, the annual “Cruisin’ Back to Culver City” Car Show, and its Beer & Wine Garden at the Fiesta La Ballona.  Funds raised from these events are supplemented by the generosity of its membership.
