Citizens needed for advisory panel

(Tex Texin)

The Culver City Police Department is currently asking for applications for the Chief’s advisory panel.

“The purpose of this panel is to provide a diverse, cross-section of the community’s perspective to the Police Chief on Police Department policy, procedures, new programs and equipment,” reads a CCPD statement. “Meetings with the Chief will be scheduled quarterly or as needed. The panel will provide opinions to the Chief on various issues. This feedback will be used to enhance the Department’s community policing efforts.”

The aim of the panel is to be representative of the local community, “including young adults, residents, and business owners.” This is a way for Chief Jason Sims to get regular and valuable feedback from the community.
