The Culver City Education Foundation (CCEF) hosted its first ever Inside Out event on Friday Nov. 22. CCEF officers and Culver City Unified School District administrators were on hand to provide information about CCEF’s achievements.

The event kicked into high gear when a flash mob of high school students came out to show their appreciation for the programs, equipment and opportunities CCEF has been making possible for them throughout their school years.

The Culver City High School cheer team and marching band proceeded to welcome their fellow students to school, first at Culver City High, then at the middle school, finishing up at Farragut Elementary.

When CCEF President Marci Shulman asked one Farragut student who was dancing with the cheerleaders whether that was a good way to start a Friday, the little girl exclaimed, “This is the best day ever!”

During the event, CCUSD Superintendent Dave La Rose reminded everyone of the inestimable contributions CCEF makes to the education of every student at every CCUSD school. He noted that what is often called “donating” to CCEF, is really “investing” in our students.

CCEF thanks all of the student participants for their energy, enthusiasm and display of talents. They inspire us in our work, and repeatedly prove that they are more than worth every hour and every dollar we can invest in their future.

For more than 30 years CCEF has been investing in CCUSD students and with the support of community members like you, will continue those investments for countless decades to come.
