BevMo! opened its newest California store in Culver City, located at 5640 Sepulveda Blvd., on Friday, July 18 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by elected officials, civic leaders and local residents.
As the 52nd store in the Greater Los Angeles area and the 153rd BevMo! location serving California, Arizona and Washington, the new 8,600-square-foot retailer opened its doors to the public and features a wide selection, including thousands of wines, spirits and beers, along with hundreds of gourmet food items, cocktail mixers, glassware, bar accessories and more.
“The Los Angeles community has been a major supporter of BevMo! for many years now, so we’re pleased to open another convenient location and cater to even more Angelenos – this time in Culver City,” BevMo! CEO Alan Johnson said. “With entertainment at the city’s heart, BevMo! is thrilled to bring cheer to any occasion. Whether you’re enjoying a movie marathon in the comfort of your home, hosting a summer party or attending an outdoor movie screening, your friendly neighborhood BevMo! will be nearby to supply your every beverage need.”
To celebrate the opening, the newest retail location offered the first 500 customers gift bags valued at $50. Some customers lined up before the store opened at 9 a.m. on opening day. Each gift bag included a number of fabulous BevMo! specialty items, such as Govino wine glasses, a food and wine cocktail guide, a Bloody Mary kit, a cocktail shaker, a koozie, BevMo! mints, True Tap corkscrew and Cheers! napkins.
Part of the celebrations throughout the entire weekend included in-store events, demonstrations and tastings from popular brewers and vineyards, including Francis Ford Coppola and Tangent Wines, Hangar 24 and Stone Brewing Companies, Bacardi Rum and Tito’s Vodka spirits, snacks from Krave Jerky and engraving demos from Gentleman and Jack Woodfood Reserve.
