CC Rotary to host special luncheon benefiting Marines

This holiday season, community residents and businesses are invited to celebrate the holidays Wednesday, Dec. 7 at the American Legion Hall for a special luncheon, which by tradition, donated gifts are given to Marines from Camp Pendleton. The time is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Presented annually by the Culver City Rotary Club, this holiday luncheon features a traditional recipe for smoked ribs, along with turkey, ham and all the trimmings, including salads and desserts.   There will be music, caroling, fun and prizes.

Gifts of toys and/or gift cards will be collected and donated for the families of deployed Camp Pendleton Marines. Those who attend are invited to bring along such gifts to the American Legion Hall at 5300, S. Sepulveda Blvd., Culver City.

Cost is $25 per person. There will be a no-host bar. Attendees should come ready to participate in the Clubs “streth raffle,” to win prizes — which includes cash.

If possible, bring a gift for a child or a Gift Card for a Marine family at Camp Pendleton. RSVP to Lyn Caron at lcaron369@gmail.com or call 310-428-7151.
