The Center for the Art of Performance on the UCLA campus will feature a concert from Brazilian vocalist Bebel Gilberto on Friday, Sept. 18 at Royce Hall.  Gilberto is the daughter of iconic music legends Joao Gilberto and Miúcha and has forged her own way with her trademark electonic bossa nova sound.

Gilberto’s 2000 release Tanto Tempo, was popular at clubs around the world and positioned the Rio de Janeiro-raised singer as one of the best-selling Brazilian artists in the U.S. since the 1960s.

Under the steady hand of Executive and Artistic Director Kristy Edmunds, UCLA’s performing arts program (most recently known as UCLA Live), continues to support creative artists of all kinds, while putting together an eclectic and daring concert schedule throughout the year.  For ticket information for the Bebel Gilberto concert and their full schedule, you can visit www.cap.ucla.edu.
