On Aopril 29 at about 7:15 p.m. a 16-year-old female was walking home from school when a stranger approached her and attempted to kidnap the minor.
While in the area of Overland and Virginia Avenues a male White/Hispanic adult with short brown hair, and facial hair, driving a green four-door vehicle, pulled alongside of her. The suspect said, “get in the car” two times, and continued to follow her as she walked away. Fearing for her safety, the student turned and ran back to school where she contacted her mother.
Another report came into the department at about 6 p.m. from an anonymous caller who stated that on April 28 at about 3:15 p.m. a vehicle pulled alongside of her at Sepulveda Boulevard and Machado Road. She immediately fled the area, and there was no contact between her and the driver of the vehicle. It is unclear if these two incidents are related.
