The Culver City Police Department have released details of a shooting that is currently under investigation. The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 24, with CCPD officers responding to multiple calls of shots fired in the area on Washington Boulevard and Hughes Avenue at approximately 9:35 p.m.
“Preliminary information indicates that two adult male suspects approached an adult male victim in the parking lot of the location and opened fire,” a CCPD statement reads. “The victim was struck once in the leg with a through-and-through gunshot wound. The suspects fled in an unknown direction. The victim was treated for the non-life-threatening injury at the nearby hospital.”
Officers searched the area, but didn’t find any sign of suspects, and investigation is ongoing. The police ask that anyone who witnessed any of this incident or may have relevant video footage contact the Culver City Police Department Watch Commander at (310) 253-6202.
