Fundraiser for Segal Youth Center slated for March 13

Being able to socialize and have fun with others during the pandemic is difficult to achieve. This year the Friends of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center major fundraiser will be a virtual FUNdraiser on Saturday, March 13.

This online event will provide that opportunity without having to wear shoes, wear appropriate attire, drive anywhere, or find a babysitter.

“It is a way for all of us to get together for an exceptional cause and have a bit of an escape from the limitations the pandemic has brought to our lives,” said member Sandy Schwartz.

The Friends have partnered with some great local restaurants so that attendees can enjoy a delicious dinner while supporting both the Health Center and Culver City businesses. Participating restaurants are Akasha, City Tavern, EK Valley, and Sara the Wine Bar.

Dinner will be followed by a variety of games played virtually with many exciting prizes to be awarded by emcee, Mr. Culver City.   Ticket prices are $110 per person which includes a delicious ordered pickup dinner that can be shared with friends online, as well as game participation, or $65 per person for only the game portion of the evening.

More details about the event including menus and ticket ordering can be found by visiting www.sandysegalyouthhealthcenter.org.

The work of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center continues as students are still able to access mental health and physical health services despite not being on campus.  The Friends appreciate your generous support which is vital to continue this important care for our children.

If you are new to zoom meetings, no problem, we will be there to help.  Computer ability is not a requirement to participate in the FUNdraiser.  Dinner is at 6 p.m. with the program and games beginning at 6:30.
