Eriksson earns support from Realtors, mayors

On behalf of the more than 8,000 realtors it represents, the Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors® announced recently that it will support Göran Eriksson’s campaign for Culver City Council.

“Realtors have a great understanding of our community and what it takes to make our neighborhoods great, so to earn their support is really an honor,” Eriksson said. “From mansionization and density to affordability and zoning, our city faces many issues related to housing and I am proud that the Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Association of Realtors® believes I am the candidate who can help lead our city forward.”

Support from the realtors comes as Eriksson continues to draw endorsements from even more current and elected Culver City officials.

Over the past few weeks, Eriksson has earned endorsements from both former Culver City Mayor Steve Rose and former CCUSD Board Member and former Culver City Mayor Steve Gourley.

“I’m not sure Steve Rose and Steve Gourley have agreed on many issues over the years, but I’m glad they have both agreed on me,” said Eriksson, who added, “I am proud to have earned the support of people from all over Culver City, from various political viewpoints and from many different backgrounds. I think people see me as someone who will do his homework on the issues, who will face the tough decisions head-on and who will put our neighborhoods first.”

Eriksson’s support has spread to school leaders. He recently earned the support of CCUSD Board Member Sue Robins, who joined her fellow Board of Education members Steve Levin, Anne Burke and Kathy Paspalis in supporting Eriksson.

Eriksson has now garnered endorsements from four of the five Culver City Council members and four of the five CCUSD Board of Education members.

Another former Culver City mayor who has endorsed Eriksson is Scott Malsin, and his wife, Anne.
