Culver City Library set for three big events in September

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6

the Back to School Story Time,

special guest reader Audrey

Stevens, Director of the Office

of Child Development for the

Culver City Unified School

District will visit the library.

Join Stevens as she reads some

of her favorite stories and be

prepared for a fun craft project.

The reading will begin at 7

p.m. in the Community Room

at the Culver City Julian Dixon

Library.

On Saturday, Sept. 21 the

library will host the final book

sale of the year. This will be a

huge sale with an outstanding

collection of gently used books,

coffee table books, comic

books and audiovisual materials.

Don’t miss this chance to

pick up some bargain books

and take advantage of some

great deals. The sale will run

from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers

are welcome to help set up at

7:30 a.m. and pack up starting

at 1:30 pm.

Those patrons who attended

our tea tasting a couple of years

ago won’t want to miss a special

event on Saturday, Sept.

28 at 11 a.m. when we bringing

back Senior Manager of

Tea and Master Tea Blender

for Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf,

David De Candia. He has written

a book for children, entitled

“Master Davey and the Magic

Tea House: Legend of the Blue

Tiger.” De Candia will be reading

his book, doing a tea tasting

of his new special blend to complement

the book, and imparting

more tea tips for audiences

of all ages.
