Crime Blotter, Feb. 22-28

Stolen Car

A male told police that he parked and locked his 2000 Honda Accord in the 11200 block of Overland Avenue about 3 p.m. on Feb. 20. He said that he returned at 10 a.m. two days later, and the car was gone.

Stolen License Plate

A female told police she parked and locked her vehicle in the 10600 block of St. James Drive at 9 a.m. on Feb. 22. She said that she returned at 1:30 p.m. and saw that her front license plate was missing.

Car Burglary

A male told police that he parked and locked his 2004 Volkswagen Golf near the 12200 block of Washington Boulevard at 7 p.m. on Feb. 22. He said that he returned at 8:50 p.m. and found the rear passenger window broken and items missing.

Commercial Burglary

A male told police that on Feb. 23 at 7 p.m., an employee of secured a building in the 8600 block of National Boulevard. Officers were called to the scene about 5:15 the next morning, found a glass door broken and were told that property was missing from inside.

Commercial Burglary

At 1:45 p.m. on Feb. 25, officers went to the 5100 block of Sawtelle Boulevard, where a male told them that someone had pried open a steel container, which stored tools and batteries, some or all of which had been taken.

Commercial Burglary

Police arrived at a business in the 5500 block of Sepulveda Boulevard shortly after midnight on Feb. 27. A male at the location told them that he had secured the building at 7:30 p.m. the night before. He said he returned to the business after receiving a call from the alarm company, and found a broken window and missing items.
