Crime Blotter

Crime Blotter for May 14 through the 20th.

Vandalism:

Om May 17 at 8:42 p.m. a victim called the police department to report his 2012 Honda had been vandalized. The victim said he parked and locked his car in the 3800 block of Culver Center Street at 7:30 p.m. When he returned at 8:25 p.m. he discovered all four doors had been damaged.

Residential Burglary:

On May 18 at 7:30 a.m., officers responded to the 5800 of Vicstone Court regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victims who told them the following; they both left their residence at 8 p.m. and returned at 9:30 p.m. and everything was fine. The next morning at 6:50 a.m., they noticed the kitchen window was opened and his property missing.

Residential Burglary:

On May 18 at 10 a.m., a victim came to the police department to report his home was burglarized in the 440 block of Mentone Avenue. The victim said May 17 at 3:30 p.m. he answered a knock on his front door. He was contacted by a male Hispanic, 40-50 years of age, short black hair, brown eyes and 5’5 to 5’8, 140-150 pounds and wearing a white shirt. The suspect told him he was hired by his neighbor to trim trees and needed access to his backyard. The victim then escorted the suspect to his rear yard. The suspect took some measurements and a few minutes later he received a phone call and left the location. The victim went back into his home and discovered his property missing.

Vandalism:

On May 19 at 1 p.m. a victim came to the police department to report his 2012 Fiat had been vandalized. The victim said he parked and locked his car in the 10700 block of Jefferson Boulevard at 11:30 a.m.. When he returned at 12:45 p.m. he discovered his front passenger door had been scratched.

Assault:

On May 19 at 5:10 p.m. officers responded to the 3400 block of McManus regarding a battery investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them the following; he was playing soccer when the teams got involved in an altercation. The victim said he walked away from the incident when he was approached by the suspect who struck him once to his face. The suspect then walked away. The suspect was described as a male Hispanic, 5’8, and 170 pounds and bald.
