CCPD arrest burglary suspect

The Culver City Police Department apprehended and arrested a burglary suspect on the morning of Tuesday, March 26, after receiving a call from a concerned citizen.

“Tuesday morning, Officers responded to a call of a possible residential burglary in progress,” the CCPD posted to social media. “A quick thinking citizen noticed a suspect enter a garage and immediately called CCPD. Officers quickly responded and located the individual described in the call.”

According to the statement, the suspect attempted to toss away a box of undisclosed items that he had taken from the residence.

“The burglary suspect was arrested, the victim’s items were returned, and a stolen firearm and ammunition were recovered,” the police said.

The CCPD described the incident as, “A great example of the success we can achieve working together as partners in public safety.”
