The second season of high school sports is getting ready to start and that means the CIF playoffs are just around the corner. Culver City High School has eight spring sports and that includes 12 teams. Of those 12 teams at least eight of those teams are projected to make it to the big dance but some teams will complete league play before the playoffs start.

The 2026 Culver City spring sports are baseball, softball, golf (girls and boys), swim (girls and boys), boys’ volleyball, lacrosse (girls and boys), track and field (boys and girls) and boys’ tennis.

The baseball team will play for the league championship against Santa Monica at home on Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. and the girls softball team also plays Santa Monica on Tuesday at 3:15 p.m.

The league track and field preliminaries and finals will be held at Culver City next week. The boys’ and girls’ freshmen and sophomores and varsity runners and jumpers will compete in the prelims on Monday starting at 2 p.m. and the league finals will be Thursday at 4 p.m.

Check with the Culver City News next week for an updated schedule of all the spring sports.
