Americana band Broken Promises perform at the Cinema Bar this week, so they told the News about what they have in store for Culver City…

When did you start playing and performing? When did the band form?

Erick grew up in the foothills of Sunland–Tujunga, California, and began playing music at age ten. After high school, he attended the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, but later set aside his guitar to pursue other paths within the entertainment industry. Now, he’s come full circle—writing and performing again with his band of talented musicians. After performing solo around local venues, Erick realized he missed the sound and energy of a full band. In 2023, Erick B & The Broken Promises came together naturally and have been building momentum ever since.
