I was grateful to see last week’s page 1 article by Sandra Coopersmith about the Learning Garden at Venice High School since it brings the subject of community gardens back into the public arena. I have personally enjoyed many aspects of the Learning Garden over the years, from lessons on seed saving to community potluck dishes prepared from entirely locally grown ingredients. No doubt about it: The Venice Learning Garden is a vibrant community and a fabulous hub of learning.
