Good times are here again. The Culver City Sister City Committee will hold a blast-from-the-past fundraiser at the Culver Hotel, 9400 Culver Blvd., on Oct. 16 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The celebration of the “Golden Days” will include hors d’oeuvres and vintage cocktails. Silent movies will be screened and attendees will be able to bid on auction pieces. City historian Julie Lugo Cerra will be available to sign her latest book.
Recommended wardrobe, albeit optional, is anything evoking the glitz and glamour of the past, such as poodle skirts, Zoot suits, sleek 1920s fashions, etc.
The cost for the event is $55 per person ($65 after Oct. 4) and all proceeds will be used to help foster and promote international and intercultural friendships with Culver City’s sister cities in Mexico, Japan, South Korea and Canada.
