Crime Blotter, April 5-11

Car Burglary

A female told police that said she parked her 2009 Mercedes Benz in the 5200 block of Purdue Avenue at 8 p.m. on April 4, and that when she returned at 7:30 the next morning she discovered property within was missing.

Car Burglary

Another vehicle burglary occurred on the night of April 4. Another female told police that she parked and locked her vehicle in the 4100 block of Ince Avenue and when she returned at 7 the next morning, property was missing.

Street Robbery

A male told police that he was waiting for a bus near the intersection of Washington and Inglewood boulevards at 7:30 the morning of April 6, when he was approached by a male in a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, who pulled out a knife and demanded item(s). He then fled on foot.

Commercial Burglary

On April 8, at 8:39 p.m., officers responded to the 3500 block of Schaefer Street regarding a burglary investigation. They met with the manager of the business, who said the building was locked at 8 p.m. Less than 30 minutes later he received a call that the alarm had been activated. A preliminary investigation revealed that someone may have entered through a window and taken property.

Stolen Car

A female told police that she parked and locked her 1994 Honda in the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard at 6 p.m. on April 10, and when she returned an hour and a half later it was gone.
