Nonno Nanni a family-run business who is one of the major players in the soft cheese market in Italy, and they will be bringing their artisanal cheeses to the US, and Pasta Sisters is more than happy to host them in that endeavor.
The Culver City Sister City Committee plans its quarterly membership dinner on Wednesday, March 6 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Culver City. Membership in CCSCC is not required in order to attend. The program for the evening will include an update of CCSCC’s activities and attendees are invited, but not required, to “dress up in attire representing one of our Sister Cites in Mexico, Japan, Korea, Canada or Italy.”

The Friends of the Julian Dixon Libarary will host The Actors’ Gang in a reading of “Mephisto” Wednesday, March 6 at 6 p.m. at the Julian Dixon Library, 4975 Overland Ave., Culver City. A World War II-era play about a troupe of German actors, “Mephisto” has the Faustian story of an actor whose desire for renown leads him to pander to Nazi audiences. Adapted by Ariane Mnouchkine from Klaus Mann’s novel. Adults Only.
The Culver City High School Academy of Performing and Visual Arts will be holding performances of their Spring Musical from Thursday, March 7 to Sunday, March 10 at the Robert Frost Auditorium, 4401 Elenda St., Culver City. The play will begin at 7 p.m. from Thursday through Saturday and will start at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The Wende Museum will be hosting a screening of the documentary “I am Sun Mu” on Friday, March 8 at 7 p.m. Learn about the life of the North Koran defector Sun Mu, who harnesses the propaganda style art training that he received to question facets of the regime. The group Peer Action 4 Change presents their third annual Western Recovery Conference from Friday at 9:30 p.m. to Saturday at 8 p.m. at SHARE! Culver City, 6666 Green Valley Cir., Culver City. This conference is by and for people in recovery, mental health consumers, clients, and survivors to help in their individual battles against their own demons.
