    Celebrate the one year anniversary of the opening of the Pasta Sisters Culver City with a cheese tasting featuring products from Nonno Nanni on Monday, March 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pasta Sisters, 3280 Helms Ave., Culver City. Nonno Nanni a family-run business who is one of the major players in the soft cheese market in Italy, and they will be bringing their artisanal cheeses to the US, and Pasta Sisters is more than happy to host them in that endeavor.

    CCSCC Sister City Membership Dinner @ DoubleTree by Hilton

    The Culver City Sister City Committee plans its quarterly membership dinner on Wednesday, March 6 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Culver City. Membership in CCSCC is not required in order to attend. The program for the evening will include an update of CCSCC’s activities and attendees are invited, but not required, to “dress up in attire representing one of our Sister Cites in Mexico, Japan, Korea, Canada or Italy.”

    The DoubleTree Hotel is at 6161 W. Centinela Blvd., Culver City. No-host cocktails start at 6 p.m. and dinner is scheduled at 7 p.m. Cost is $45 per person and entrée choices are Sesame Crusted Salmon, Oregano Chicken, and Thai Vegetable Curry.     The Actors’ Gang Reads Mephisto @ Julian Dixon Library

    The Friends of the Julian Dixon Libarary will host The Actors’ Gang in a reading of “Mephisto” Wednesday, March 6 at 6 p.m. at the Julian Dixon Library, 4975 Overland Ave., Culver City.  A World War II-era play about a troupe of German actors, “Mephisto” has the Faustian story of an actor whose desire for renown leads him to pander to Nazi audiences. Adapted by Ariane Mnouchkine from Klaus Mann’s novel. Adults Only.

    The Culver City High School Academy of Performing and Visual Arts will be holding performances of their Spring Musical from Thursday, March 7 to Sunday, March 10 at the Robert Frost Auditorium, 4401 Elenda St., Culver City. The play will begin at 7 p.m. from Thursday through Saturday and will start at 2 p.m. on Sunday.     Screening: I am Sun Mu @ Wende Museum

    The Wende Museum will be hosting a screening of the documentary “I am Sun Mu” on Friday, March 8 at 7 p.m. Learn about the life of the North Koran defector Sun Mu, who harnesses the propaganda style art training that he received to question facets of the regime. There will be a Q&A session with director Adam Sjoberg following the screening. The Wende Museum is located at 10808 Culver Blvd., Culver City.

Confined to the police station, with the phone as his only tool, Asger is forced to use others as his eyes and ears to unravel the secret of a call from a frantic woman that was quickly snuffed out.     Health Center Gala in honor of Albert Vera Jr.

    Albert Vera Jr. will be honored at The Friends of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center’s annual fundraiser on Saturday, March 9, starting at 5:30 p.m. at a private venue in Marina Del Rey.

    The theme of the Gala is Come Sail Away. Activities begin at 5:30 p.m. with appetizers, silent auction, no host bar, and music by Ronnie Jayne.  Dinner follows with music, a program, and a live auction. The cost is $135 and can be purchased at the door.  All proceeds go to the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center located on the campus of Culver City Middle and High School.
