Kieran Althaus and Christopher Goodwin were honored for earning their Boy Scout Eagle Ranks on May 31 at St. John’s Presbyterian Church.

For his Eagle Scout Project, Kieran collected toiletries, clothing, and other necessities for New Directions For Veterans, an agency that provides food, shelter and support for veterans. Kieran and his volunteers collected more than 100 bags of donations from homes throughout Culver City.

Goodwin held a bicycle safety information booth at the 2013 Fiesta La Ballona. He and his volunteers distributed information of bicycle “rules of the road” and informed the public about bicycle safety and local biking events.

Both boys attend Culver City High School.
