On Sunday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. STAR Eco Station will host its 15th Annual Children’s Earth Day with special performances, exhibits by children, celebrity guests, environmental organizations, wildlife, Eco-friendly vendors, games and much more.
The community is invited to celebrate planet earth with all its senses during the mega celebration. More than 20,000 people attended last year’s L.A. Times’ “Best Earth Day Pick” and L.A. Parent Magazine’s “Best Children’s Earth Day” to take place at 10101 Jefferson Blvd. in Culver City.
This year STAR Eco Station is promoting “Preservation Through Education” and has the entire day planned as a multi-sensory experience that can be seen, tasted, heard and felt through inspired performances, local crafts, culinary delights, exciting exhibits and celebrity guests from ABC, Disney, FOX, CBS, the CW, Amazon, and Nickelodeon!
This community celebration is free to attend and there’s something for every person of every age. In addition to businesses that care about our environment, there will be community leaders, environmental agencies and other nonprofit exhibitors ready to share what they know and how to get involved.
The Children’s Earth Day is also a perfect time to visit the EcoStation Museum, offering tours for only $5 a person that include the new Wolf Experience guaranteed to cause some “ooohs” and “awwhhs.” More than 200 rescued exotic animals are fluffing their feathers and fur in anticipation of all the fun. There’s plenty of parking, so come early and plan on enjoying the party all day.
This year, STAR invites everyone to express individual commitment to the earth in a unique way: by spreading #MyEarthDayPledge. People are asked to share their Earth Day plans on social media using the hashtag #MyEarthDayPledge and tell everyone how they plan to improve their community, preserve natural resources and save the planet.
