Rivers of the World Mural to be restored during Earth Day Week

Fifteen years ago, one city, one nonprofit organization, three professional artists, one contractor, 30 high school students and hundreds of volunteers helped make this vision a reality. The community is cordially invited to participate in the Rivers Of The World Mural Renovation from April 16-20. Earth Day Week is the perfect time to get out in the fresh air and give this mural a fresh face.

The mural has 1400 square-feet of custom tile, mosaic and paint.  Volunteers (suggested high school thru adult, and parents who will closely supervise anyone younger) are needed to help redress the Mural for another life span.

Anyone interested can register for a three-hour shift (any consecutive three hours per shift) to paint or to help with onsite support behind the painters.

Also needed are a few “heavy lifters” (really not too heavy) onsite at 9 a.m. to get things out of cars for setup, and at 4 p.m. for clean up.

Those interested can also sign up for multiple days if painting is their interest (all brushes and paints supplied). There will be snacks and drinks for all of our volunteers.
