Purplelicious win AYSO title Sports Staff | Tue, Apr 10 2012 02:41 PM

Led by Kayelea Doff and Alexia Mallahi, the AYSO Under-10 All Star Purplelicious capped off a winning season with two shutouts during the championship rounds at Culver City High School to advance to the area tournament where they went 2-1 and finished in third place.

“Kayelea had an amazing season, and when she and Alexia were on the field together, I would say ‘Let the horses run,’” said assistant coach Charlie Doff.

Doff is now playing for the Culver City Girls Under-10 All Star Team, and Alexia was picked to the All Star B Team.

Purplelicious is coached by Tony Biren. Players are Mallahi, Alexis Munoz, Angelica Rojas, Alyssa Flores, Doff, Isabelle Levi, Malea Miller, Sofia Biren, and Raquel Kaufman.

“The girls have grown and learned so much. We are fortunate to be able to keep playing at this higher level, said Biren.”

Doff’s son, Garrett, played for the boys U-14 team which won the Area tournament.
