Kate Suyetsugu drives the ball up court against Eagle Hannah Nonoguchi. Suyetsugu scored a game-high 22 points in Culver’s tournament championship win over El Segundo. Culver City topped the Eagles, last Saturday, 51-29, in the Las Vegas Holiday Classic. The Centaurs upended El Segundo, 70-46, on Dec. 21. Culver also recently defeated Douglas (Minden, NV), 44-39, and Centennial (Las Vegas, NV), 58-42, in the Las Vegas Classic. Culver opens league next week.
