Centaur golfer, hurdler, swimmers advance

Senior Bryan Gagnon was named Ocean League Player of the Year as a member of the Culver City High School boys golf team which won the Ocean League championship for the first time in school history beating out Beverly Hills, Palo Verdes, and Santa Monica. Gagnon tied for first place, shooting rounds of 73 and 71, in a recent CIF post season tournament. He was the only Ocean League golfer to shoot under par.

Running a personal record 14.7 in the 110 high hurdles in the CIF prelims, Lucas Nozick earned a spot as the seventh qualifier to advance to the CIF championships, this Saturday, at Mt. Sac College. He hit the third hurdle in the 300 meter race.

Drew Wolitarsky, son of former Centaur All-CIF shot putter and hammer thrower John Wolitarsky, sustained a cramp in the 100 meter dash.

The boys varsity swim team went undefeated in the Ocean League with stellar performances by individual swimmers in CIF post season meets the past two weeks.
