Chamber supports Prang for Tax Assessor, Houston for Water Board

The Board of Directors of the Culver City Chamber of Commerce voted to endorse West Hollywood Councilmember Jeff Prang for Los Angeles County Tax Assessor and El Segundo resident Scott Houston for the West Basin Water District Seat 4 in the upcoming Nov. 4 General Elections.

“Jeff Prang’s long service on the West Hollywood City Council as well as work in the Los Angeles County Tax Assessors Office showed Jeff to be very qualified sand received our Chamber’s endorsement for election on November 4.” Said Culver City Chamber Chair Bill Reider.

The Culver City Chamber hosted a public “Meet the Candidates” Forum for both open seats and following the forum at the Chamber monthly board meeting is endorsements were openly discussed among Chamber Board Members and a secret ballot was held were both Houston and Prang received the majority of the vote on the first ballot.

“Scott Houston’s involvement and knowledge of water showed him to be the outstanding choice to fill the vacant District 4 position on the West Basin Water District,” Steven Rose, Culver City Chamber, CEO said. “Scott’s broad depth of knowledge on importation, recycling and education on water issues make him the only choice to fill this important seat on the West Basin Board.”
