California general election to take place Nov. 4

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan encourages voters not to miss the opportunity to vote this election. If voters are busy on Election Day, they can vote by mail.  Voters must request a Vote-by-Mail ballot by Tuesday, Oct. 28, for the Nov. 4 General Election.

Requesting a Vote by Mail ballot is easy and can be done online at: https://apps1.lavote.net/SECURED/av/Default.cfm?election=%23%20%2CLI%0A.  The back of the official sample ballot may also be used.  Registered voters can also apply in person at the RR/CC’s main office located at 12400 Imperial Hwy., 3rd floor, Room 3002 in Norwalk.

The RR/CC has been mailing approximately 1.47 million vote-by-mail ballots.

L.A. County residents who applied for a Vote-by-Mail ballot and haven’t received one, can check the status of their application online at: https://www.lavote.net/av_inquiry/.

Election materials are available in Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai or Vietnamese. Interested persons can call (800) 481-8683.
