Full parking space vs. empty office space

Our city council needs to get out into the city more. They don’t use the EXPO line and have to drive around trying to find a parking spot at the Culver City Station. The lot has 585 parking spots and now they are taking away 50% of them to build another unneeded building, leaving 300 spots  for the public to fight for. I can’t tell you how many times I changed or cancelled plans because parking was impossible. We need the larger lot or bigger yet, if the government wants people to “Ride Green” to L.A. or Santa Monica.

Why do we need another retail/office building? If you drive on Washington Boulevard, Sepulveda, Jefferson, Culver Center, Fox Hills, even Downtown Culver City, you would already see lots of retail/office spaces with “For Lease”/Rent signs. Now we will have another empty space.
