The athletic field and track at West LA College have been closed for renovation over the summer. The college intends to open these facilities to the public again and appreciates that they are valued assets to the community.
Before the facilities can re-open to the public, however, there are still a few tasks, that are not obvious from passing by, that the contractor must complete before the field is “released” back to the college. These items include signage and apparatus on gates. Allowing the public on the field and track prior to this “release” can jeopardize warranties and other business matters with the contractor.
The City of Culver City will continue to share any updates we receive from WLAC regarding the re-opening of the field and track.
