Water service interruption today in Culver Crest section

Residents of Culver Crest neighborhood of Culver City might experience temporary water service interruption today between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Golden State Water Company officials said.

Golden State Water is connecting a newly-installed water main to the existing underground main alongside Ranch Road. This day-long job is part of a $1.8 million pipeline installation project that started last October, GSW officials said in a press release.

Interruption might occur in the following areas:

• Ranch Road, from 10713 Ranch to Cranks Road.

• Flaxton Street, from Youngworth Road to Cranks Road.

• Cranks Raod, from Ranch Road and Hill Road.

• Drakewood Avenue, from Ranch Raod to Flaxton Street.

• Youngworth Road, from Ranch Road to Flaxton Street.

• Lugo Way, from Ranch Road to end of the cul-de-sac.

“Crews will work expeditiously to remain on schedule and limit the time customers are without water service,” a spokesperson said in the press release. “Customers will be notified in advance of any unanticipated changes to the schedule.”

GSW work crews, construction equipment, road closures and increased traffic will be visible in the designated areas. Officials say that every effort to minimize the inconvenience will be exercised.

Customers can contact Golden State Water at 310-838-1324 with questions, or if they would like to have complimentary bottled water delivered to their home in advance of this shutdown.

“We appreciate the community’s cooperation, and hope customers will share this notification with their neighbors who are also served by Golden State Water,” a spokesperson said.
