STAR Education invites the community to celebrate America’s rich and diverse culture at the 14th Annual STAR African American Art Festival on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the STAR Eco Station located on 10101 Jefferson Blvd. in Culver City.

Featuring African drumming and dancing, local artists and vendors, art exhibits, live entertainment, and interactive art projects, the day is dedicated to celebrating and sharing African-American History.

STAR will host local artists and students to honor African-American history through art and history exhibits, poetry, dance, singing and drumming. The entertaining and educational event features live African dance and musical performances and highlights contemporary artwork by established and emerging artists and performers.

This year’s event will feature a special book reading by Stacey Evans Morgan, author of children’s book “Cocoa Princess” and accomplished television writer and producer (UPN’S “The Parkers” and TV One’s “Love That Girl”).

All are welcome to attend and enjoy live music, delicious BBQ, exhilarating dance performances, ceramics, paintings, jewelry and clothing vendors, crafts, games, and so much more.
