In an effort to develop international and intercultural understanding for youth, the Culver City Sister City Committee will host an informational meeting geared toward those goals.

Attendees will learn about cultural and artistic opportunities, national art and written word competitions, and community service functions. Information will also be available about summer travel to Iksan City, South Korea.

Ten students between grades nine and 11 will be selected for a student exchange program in which they can gain experience in the Korean lifestyle, language and culture. While in South Korea, those select students will live with host families and tour cultural sites.

The informational meeting will take place Jan. 25 at the home of Donna Thayer, 10737 Oregon Ave., Culver City from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information call (310) 839-2546.
