Redevelopment Agency loss hinders another worthy program

After the elimination of the Culver City Redevelopment Agency, the Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation has launched a community campaign to raise funding for the City’s cultural event programming.

The Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation is a nonprofit organization, which promotes and supports historic preservation, public art, and cultural programming in Culver City by securing private and public sector funding.

The City of Culver City has a history of offering free, accessible, and quality cultural programming for the community. Past programming includes the Culver City Music Festival, an annual summer concert series; Made in Culver City film program celebrating the classic films produced in “The Heart of Screenland”; and Music in the Chambers featuring musicians from the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association.

With the help of Culver City residents and business owners, these cultural events will continue to provide opportunities for arts enrichment, education, and community engagement.

All donations to the Foundation are tax deductible. Credit card donations may be made electronically via www.culvercity.org/donate. Checks may be made payable to the Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation and mailed to Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation, 9770 Culver Boulevard, Culver City, CA, 90232.
