Parks and Rec provide service

The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department staff are working to finalize the Facility Use Agreement with the Culver City Little League.

AYSO Soccer has returned their agreement for finalization.

The new provision (in both agreements) is the player facility use fee—a flat rate that the organizations are collecting from each player to be used toward assisting with turf repairs and renovations at Culver City parks. The parks are impacted by year-round sports.

Funds are not sufficient for all renovations of all fields but will be used as available to do repairs on a rotating annual basis.

Culver City Little League and AYSO do not pay any facility rental fees at any City facilities.

The Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District recently informed the City that our tentative application for funding toward new play equipment at Syd Kronenthal Park has been approved.

A full application is in the process of being finalized for submittal. The City is submitting an application for $250,000 toward this project.
