Samantha Smith has been crowned national champion at the United States Lifeguard Association’s National Lifeguard Championships. Samantha received a first- place medal for the rescue swim and also received a fourth-place award for the swim relay. She placed in the top 10 ten in each of the four events she entered. She took tenth place in the distance swim, sixth in the run swim run. Hawaii, Texas, New Jersey, New York and Florida were represented at the event. Samantha trains with the Royal Swim Team at the Plunge in Culver City.
