Culver City resident Carole Yu hosted almost 200 people during the grand opening of her exclusive m0851 concept store.
The grand opening took place on Oct. 9 at 1426 Montana Ave. # 2 in Santa Monica and was attended by a lively group.
“It was a great party. New m0851 ambassadors are coming into the store days after, talking about what a great time they had,” Yu said. “They’re talking about the m0851 products, the party food by Dara The Bow Girl, the turnout, the stunning Luxelab provided models, the amazing goody bags and the great energy we’ve created on Montana Avenue.”
m0851 is a Montreal-based company that has been designing and manufacturing leather bags, accessories, jackets and outerwear. A majority of its products are produced in the company’s workshop. Yu’s new location is the only one in the Los Angeles area and was an additional reason to celebrate.
“We had many party-goers who were familiar with the brand from m0851’s numerous global stores, but also many new clients,” Yu said. “As with all new m0851 clients, in getting to know the brand, and the product, they are amazed at the quality of the leathers, and the great price points.”
With 27 years in the industry, m0851 has a proven record longevity.
“You fall in love with the leather, that only becomes better with age, and you become an ambassador for life,” Yu said. “My goal with this location in Santa Monica is to create a strong base for the m0851 brand from which to expand to the rest of the Los Angeles area. The impact of this store, and the future expansion of the brand in the next five years, will provide an exciting option to those with an eye for modern, urban, clean design who believe that form, and function are of utmost importance in their lives.”
