Korean exchange students to visit Culver City Scott Bridges | Thu, Jul 15 2010 02:37 PM

A four-student delegation from Culver City's Sister City of Iksan City, Korea will be visiting for seven days, beginning July 17-23. The high school-age students will be hosted by Culver City families with similarly aged children.

The public is invited to attend a welcome party at Blair Hills Park (5950 Wrightwood Drive) on Saturday, July 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is also invited to attend a farewell party at Lindberg Park (5041 Rhoda Way) on Thursday, July 22 from noon to 4 p.m. Mayor Chris Armenta will address the visiting students.

The Culver City Sister City Committee was founded to foster international and intercultural friendship and understanding. There are currently Sister Cities in Mexico, Japan, Korea and Canada. For more information, call Veronica Reyes at (310) 984-9828.
