Culver-Palms Family YMCA received a donation of $7,500 from the Exchange Club of Culver City to help kick-off its Annual Support Campaign at Culver Events Center recently.
Exchange Club President Mike Snell presented the check to Executive Director Lisa D’Angelo. It and other donations will support a financial assistance program to insure that no child, family or adult is turned away from the YMCA.
This year’s goal is $145,000 and will run through mid-January.
The YMCA is an inclusive organization of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.
The Culver City Exchange Club members reside, own businesses or work in the area. They are committed to providing local residents a better place to live through providing community services, including coordinating and presenting the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show and providing funding for community-based organizations.
