District office begins new access plan

With the goal of improved service and safety, as well as parking at the district office, access/entrance procedures have been restructured putting in place a new system. Guests and visitors will now enter using the front door, (by Irving Place, and check in at the reception desk. People will be asked to sign in with proper identification. CCUSD Employees must present their CCUSD ID when checking in as well.

Entrance from parking lot door will require use of intercom and “buzz in” from the reception desk (with direction to desk to sign in/show ID). The double doors to HR/Pupil Services and door at the top of the stairs will now be closed and locked. Reception will contact the person or department that visitors need to meet with, whether scheduled or unscheduled.

Depending on the department, once the visitor is signed in, a staff member will come out to greet the visitor and/or said person will be given a Visitors Pass. When needed, reception will provide a parking permit and clarify locations available for parking. To expedite a visit, items and documents can be dropped of at the reception desk. The goal is for the district to enhance service and safety. The district appreciates support and understanding of this “new and improved” approach.
