Culver City Unified School District accepts a $2,000 check from the Culver City Lions Club for the citywide Backpacks for Kids program. Lions officers Elliot Heffler, Bob Knopf and Sharlene London were present at the Lions Club meeting, last Thursday, in Westfield Culver City. Funds were donated in services by ophthalmologist Betsy Blechman, MD., a Culver City Lion, whose eye care professionals screened Culver City elementary school youth in October.
