Crime Blotter; Nov. 19-Dec. 5

Car Burglary:

On Nov. 29, at 8:30 a.m., a victim called the police department to report her 2001 Saturn had been burglarized. The victim said she parked and locked her car on Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. in the 5000 block of Maytime Lane. When she returned the next day at 8:10 a.m., she discovered her rear driver side window open and her property missing.

Residential Burglary:

On Nov. 29, at 7:15 p.m., officers responded to the 10900 block of Pickford Way regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who said she said she left her residence at 8:30 a.m. and when she returned at 7 p.m., she discovered the front door open. She also noticed her property missing from each room she walked through.

Attempted Street Robbery:

On Dec. 1 at 3:20 a.m., officers responded to the area of Venice Boulevard and Prospect Avenue regarding a robbery investigation. The officers met with the victim who said he was talking on his cell phone when he was approached by a male black, 25 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches, thin build and wearing dark clothing, who told him to give him his phone and money. He then struck the victim, who was able to flee before giving up his property.

Vandalism:

On Dec. 1 at 9:40 a.m., a victim called the police department to report his 2010 Honda had been vandalized. He said he parked and locked his car in the 11000 block of Summertime Lane at 4:30 p.m. the day before. He returned at 9:10 a.m. the following day and discovered his tires had been slashed.

Residential Burglary:

On Dec. 2, at 3 p.m., officers responded to the 5300 block of Kalein Drive regarding a burglary investigation. They met with the victim who said she left her residence locked and secured at noon and her husband returned three hours later and discovered a rear window had been broken. He checked the interior and discovered his property missing.
